What the service does
Livecheck runs a website through a fixed technical checklist and reports what it found. The checklist is published in full at /checklist before you buy anything, and it is versioned, so a report always says which version produced it.
On the paid rescue we also repair what the checklist found and hand back the fixed code. That part is done by a person, not a machine.
What you pay
Prices are shown at /pricing in US dollars, and that is the amount charged. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it and may add its own fee, which we neither set nor receive.
The Site Rescue Pro is $300 flat-fee, charged once. Subscriptions renew each month until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your billing settings. A cancelled subscription runs to the end of the period you already paid for.
Cancelling, and the fourteen days
If you are a consumer in the EU you have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance contract, without giving a reason.
The rescue is different, and you should know why before you buy. When you submit the intake form you are asking us to start immediately, and you are told so at that point. Once the work has begun you lose the right to withdraw from the part already performed. That is the trade for not waiting two weeks to start.
If we have not started, tell us at hello@livecheck.net and you get all of it back. If we cannot deliver what the checklist said we would, you get your money back whether or not fourteen days have passed.
What the certificate is, and is not
A certificate records the result of one checklist run, at one moment, on one address, on a domain whose owner proved they control it. It is signed so anyone can check that we issued it and that nobody has altered it.
It is not a warranty that the site will keep working. Sites change, certificates expire, and a deploy the day after can break something the checklist passed. That is why certificates carry a date and an expiry, and why they can be withdrawn.
The checklist is not a security audit, an accessibility audit, or a legal review. It checks what it says it checks, and the full list is public.
What you agree to do
Only scan sites you own or have permission to scan. Before we submit test data through a contact form, we require proof that you control the domain — this is not a formality, and working around it is a breach of these terms.
Do not use Livecheck to attack, overload, or map somebody else’s infrastructure, and do not present a certificate for a domain as covering anything other than that domain.
What we are responsible for
We will run the checklist competently and describe the results honestly. If we get something wrong, we will fix it or refund it.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us for the service in question. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, or fraud — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.
Ending it
Delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that is being used to scan sites the holder does not control, or to attack somebody. If we do, we will say why.
Changes and law
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and anything already bought stays under the terms in force when you bought it.
The law of Portugal applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you can bring proceedings there.
